The French Society of Geriatrics & Gerontology organizes its 33rd annual scientific meeting, the JASFGG, at the CNIT in Paris, the heart of Europe’s biggest business district. More than 1200 delegates are expected to attend this meeting intended for clinicians, researchers, geriatricians, gerontologists, other health care specialists from French speaking countries. The 23rd Alzheimer Europe Conference is set under the motto “Living well in a dementia-friendly society”. Alzheimer Europe and the Malta Dementia Society invitesyou to explore how our perceptions and image of dementia have an impact on the lives of people with dementia and their carers. This will include examples of good practice of involving people with dementia in activities and projects and the establishment of dementia friendly communities. The importance of ethical issues and a rights-based legal framework will also be addressed.

This year’s theme “Aging…from Cells to Society” underlines the importance of multi- and interdisciplinary perspectives on aging as we explore the impacts and changes of aging, from our bodies to our society. Abstracts from all disciplines and all interests in aging, including research, practice, policy and related work are due before April 30, 2013.
