IAGG-GSIA Workshop on Families

The IAGG-GSIA Initiative organizes an expert workshop onFamilies, Intergenerational Dynamics and Ageing in sub-Saharan Africa: Toward Understanding Realities” on July 29-31, 2013 at the North West University of South Africa. Its core purpose is to develop an incisive framework and agenda for generating incisive evidence and theoretical interpretations of family and intergenerational dynamics and support in the context of ageing in SSA. To this end, the workshop will bring together key international and African scholars from the fields of family sociology, gerontology and demography in three days of joint, structured reflection and discussions.
