The 1st Congress of Medical and Care Facilities will be held at the Kyoto International Conference Centre.  The themes chosen are "Advanced post acute medicine" and "The actual and future situation of post acute medicine".

This congress has selected the theme of " Educating for Care, Care to Learn" for a better understanding of palliative care as a continuous process of teaching-learning. All professionals, volunteers and caregivers who comprise the multidisciplinary health team in Latin America, are concerned by this issue.  A dynamic exchange for program design and proposed scientific research is expected and workshops and seminars will be introduced to facilitate maximun participation of all disciplines.

The goals of this conference are to define ageing in biological terms, to illustrate the unique aspects of treatment related to ageing, and to practically address treatment issues in the different types of hematological malignancies, including treatments like allogeneic stem cell transplantation.
